| Comments: | Congratulations on your selection in the Canberra Women’s Premier League program this year to further upskill the most talented women’s players in our region. Below is the key information regarding the enhanced to new look competition. • The Canberra Women’s Premier League program has been designed to be a 6-week competition that educates players to play at a high intensity and competitive competition each week. • The competition will consist of 4 teams and be the most competitive competition in Canberra. • The competition is aimed at developing our best women’s players to be involved in a high-level competition each week and help foster relationships between the different women’s divisions. • 2019 Competition dates: (TBC) We have secured quality coaches in; • Matt Pateman who is currently the ACT Cougars women’s open coach and the women’s Australian coach. Matt is motivated to help women in the ACT to learn leadership and sportsmanship, become great team players and learn the fundamentals of the game. • Reece Jones who is an Oztag champion and current Men’s open player for ACT Cougars and the Men’s open Australian Team. Reece has been involved in coaching our ACT Cougar Junior and senior teams. Reece will bring a new dimension to women playing Oztag. • Karen Breaden is one of the longest serving coaches in the ACT for Oztag and currently coaches the ACT Cougars Women’s 20’s team. Karen works with women from juniors through to masters. Karen has a great understanding of development in women growing their game. Karen has played Oztag at the highest level representing her country. • Michele Reaney coaches the Women’s 27’s ACT Cougars, is assistant coach to the Australian Women’s 27’s and an Oztag recruiter, who watches the best talent in the country and is motivated to help develop women in the ACT to their full potential. Michele has been involved with playing for her country until just recently. Congratulations on your selection into this program, only a small number of players per female teams have been selected to represent the Canberra Women’s Premier League program ranging from U15’s to Women’s Masters.
